Participants can expect a very large turnout of spectators and media representatives. A mandatory Skipper’s Meeting will be held at the Lake Havasu Marina at 4:30 PM on the day of the parade. All boats will then assemble in Thompson Bay at 6:00 PM and the parade will form at a point along Rotary Park and the no-wake buoys. All entrants will be required to check in with the Yacht Club’s Parade Commander (PARCOM) via marine VHF radio on Channel 68. The boat parade will proceed through the channel where initial judging will take place, then out onto the lake, making a large circle before reentering the channel. The parade will then exit the south end of the channel, following the Rotary Park shoreline to a point near the no-wake buoy line, where they will turn to the west and proceed toward the island, then north to the parade dismissal point, after which they may disperse and return to their dock or launch ramp locations. In the event of inclement weather, PARCOM may direct a modification of the planned route for the safety of participating boaters.
